Today you will go on a field trip to visit Carlsbad Caverns, in New Mexico. American Indians lived in the Guadalupe Mountains twelve to fourteen thousand years ago, in the area we now know as Carlsbad Caverns. The national park was established by executive order on June 13, 1930. Feel free to share this field trip with your families! After you've visited the park, fill out the field trip reflection page.
