Student Instructions

Hi Kestrels, In today's English lesson we will be using a few of the different skills we have been learning over the last week to describe an event! We are going to imagine that WE have traveled back in time to the Stone Age and that when we got there we saw something quite amazing... A saber toothed tiger having a fight with a cave bear!! Because we will be writing about something that has happened, we will need to write in the PAST TENSE I would also like you to include some PREPOSITIONS explaining WHERE you saw things. Finally I would also like you to include some feelings words, explaining how you felt when you saw it happening before your eyes! So the 3 things you must include in your writing are, PAST TENSE WORDS, PREPOSITIONS AND FEELINGS WORDS. CHALLENGE: Can you include some subordinating conjunctions? I have attached an example from last year so that you can see the amount of writing I will be looking for and the kind of language you should be using. As usual, I have attached some word mats to help you with past tense, prepositions and feelings words too. I would like this written in pen or pencil then photographed and uploaded as a response. It is your final writing task of the week so you have the rest of the week to complete it! I can't wait to hear your amazing writing!
