seesaw Today we are learning about personification. Personification is when you give an animal or object qualities or abilities that only a human can have. Writers use personification in their writing to make it come alive! Giving human qualities to animals or objects creates an emotional reaction in readers. An emotional reaction will make the reader care about what they are reading. When someone cares about what they are reading, they want to read more.
