Core concepts: Alliteration occurs when a series of words begins with the same letter or sound. On the Student Template (4 pages) pages Page 1: :highlight:mic Hey, Highlight Here Use the highlighter tool to indicate each example of alliteration in the short poem. Then, record yourself reading the poem with rhythm in your voice. Up the enthusiasm! pages Page 2: label Practice with Pictures Add up to three alliterative adjectives that describe the noun in each picture. pages Page 3: label Work it with Words Each adjective needs an alliterative match in the solid color box. Place a noun in the solid box that begins with the same letter or sound as the boxed adjective. pages Page 4: label Show-off your Stuff This is your chance to create a poem or some prose of your choice that showcases your use of alliteration.
