Student Instructions

If a word ends with e, drop the e before adding er or est. If a word ends with a short vowel followed by a consonant, double the consonant before adding er or est. If a word ends with y, change it to i before adding er or est. 1. Tap add 2. Roll a dice to see what number comes up. If it is a 1,2 or 3, record the number and add -er to the base word to make a new word. If you roll 4,5,or 6, record the number and add -est to the base word. Don't forget all the rules about adding suffixes when you write your new words. 3. Tap label to make labels for both the number you rolled and the new word you make. 4, Drag the labels into the correct place on your grid. 5, Add an emoji to your new word if you wish. 6. Review your work and edit any incorrect words. 7. Tap check to upload your work.
