** This activity is for EDUCATORS ONLY. ** ** Do not assign this activity to your students. ** Hey Friends! I'm Marea, I teach middle schoolers science and I am a Seesaw Ambassador. During Remote & Concurrent Learning, I had students use Seesaw to document almost every part of their learning. They captured their assignments through photos, videos, or uploaded Google docs and then recorded themselves reading their work. Recording themselves reading was a required step! I found this to be extremely beneficial in building their academic language as well as developing their oracy skills (especially for my EL students). As we return to the classroom, students will continue to do the same! The best part of this is at the end of the year they have a digital portfolio of all their efforts. Students, teachers and families are not only able to see their accomplishments as scientists, but also hear their speaking skills grow over time.
