Student Instructions Click the link Find the activity on seesaw and tap the link that says "Animate!" ➡️ This will open a new window to the game. ✏ Draw your Animation: Use the tools on the screen to draw a picture. ✏️ 👆🏽Tap the + button to add a new page. Draw the next part of your movie. Keep adding pages and drawing until you have 6 to 10 pages. 🎞️ 👀 Watch your Movie: Tap the ▶️ (play) button to watch your animation! Save your Work: Tap the 💾 (save) button at the bottom of the screen. Copy the Linklink A new box will pop up. Tap the 📋 (copy) button to get your special link. Paste into seesaw Go back to seesaw and tap the 📎 (link) icon. Tap in the empty box and then tap Paste. Tap the green check mark to finish! ✅

Learning Goals: Students will learn how to access a website using a provided link. Students will practice using digital drawing tools. Students will create a short animation (6-10 pages). Students will learn how to save their work and get a shareable link. Students will practice adding a link to a Seesaw activity. Materials: A device with internet access (iPad, computer, Chromebook) Seesaw account for each student Pre-prepared Seesaw activity with the link to the ABCya Animate game: https://www.abcya.com/games/animate Teacher Instructions Introduce the Activity: Explain to students that they will be creating a mini-movie or animation. Ask them what they think an animation is (e.g., pictures that move). Demonstrate the Tools: Open the ABCya Animate game and show the students how to use the different drawing tools (pencil, eraser, paint bucket, different colors). Show them how to add a new page and what the "Play" button does. Explain the Task: Tell students they need to create an animation that is between 6 and 10 pages long. Suggest ideas like a bouncing ball, a person waving, or a face changing expressions. Model the Saving Process: This is a key step! Show them the "Save" button (the floppy disk icon) in the bottom right corner. Once they click "Save," a new screen will pop up. Show them the "Copy" button (the two pages icon) to get the link. Explain that this link is like a special address for their animation that they will paste into Seesaw. Assign the Activity: Assign the pre-made Seesaw activity to the students. Remind them to follow the student instructions.
