Let's get moving!!
1. Each group member must decide on one dance move they want to add to the sequence dance.
2. Stand in a circle and have a group member choose a song.
3. Each group member takes a turn showing their dance move, and the rest of the group must repeat it.
4. Put each dance move together in a sequence to create your group dance!

Family Why: This activity builds focus and memory. Children learn new moves and remember dance patterns, which is vital for brain development. It's also important to relax and de-stress! You can add to your dance sequence throughout the week or use a special song to signal spontaneous dance breaks.

Encouraging students and families to keep moving and having fun together is important in learning at home. This activity builds focus and memory muscle. Children have to focus on learning a new move and remembering the pattern of the family dance. Movement is important for brain development and provides an opportunity to move, relax and destress.
