Recycling is VERY important. Recycling is the process of converting waste materials into new materials and objects. One of the goals of recycling is reduce the amount of waste people make. Recycling effects the way that you and I live and our future generations will live. It truly changes the world. Today, you will be learning one way we recycle is by reusing old materials and repurposing them, or giving them a new use. Begin by watching the video by clicking on the picture. Then press the add In the video, you saw Snoopy reuse old drink containers to make a new birdhouse. Now it's your turn. Find something around your house that may be considered trash or no longer useful. It could be something like a cereal box, a used drink container like Snoopy found, some wrapping from a toy, a box, or whatever you find around the house. Using what you have around the house, get creative and make it useful again! Make it into something different and new. You do not need to buy anything for this project. Be resourceful and use what you already have- we are trying to reduce our amount of waste after all. When you have made your recycled creation, click on the video and record a video showing and telling us all about the creation and what you recycled to make it. When you are done, click the check.
