ou and ow can be dipthongs. The vowels blend together to make a single sound. Most of the time, we use 'ou' at the beginning or the middle of a word for the 'ou' sound, like 'ouch' or 'shout'. Use the 'ow' sound at the end of a word for the 'ou' sound, like 'cow' or 'howl'. Underline the ou or ow in each word.
