Teacher Notes (not visible to pupils)

Use with “ 5 Little Turkeys Poem.” When coding with the students, discuss what needs to happen to move the turkey to the next box—which direction does the turkey need to travel to get into the next box? With that thinking, the arrows need to go on the line between the box like the first arrow shows. When recording, encourage students to use cardinal directions.
