We have been learning the steps to solve math story word problems.
Step 1: Read the problem to understand it. Circle important numbers and underline clue words.
Step 2: Make a plan.
Step 3: Solve the math story word problem using the strategy you chose in your plan.
Step 4: Check your answer using a different strategy to make sure it is correct.
