(This is a self-correcting activity.) ๐ Key Vocabulary: fraction, equivalent, represent, model, example โญThis is a supplemental activity that can be used in conjunction with your district curriculum. โญThis activity is can be used whole group on an interactive board where students come up and manipulate the objects in the activity or on individual devices. This activity can also be used in small groups or tutoring to review comparing fractions and equivalent fractions. ๐ฏThis lesson reviews 4th grade TEKS (4.3C) on fraction equivalence. Having a strategy to create equivalent fractions will support success with the fifth grade TEKS listed below: (5.3) Number and Operations. The student applies mathematical process standards to develop and use strategies and methods for positive rational number computations in order to solve problems with efficiency and accuracy.
